Here is what reached customers in September 2026: a Reports page and a Reporting API, stock alerts by email, Slack, Microsoft Teams and PagerDuty, a scheduled CSV export, staging copies on Dedicated, and a discount for registered nonprofits.

A Reports page in the portal#

Reports in the portal sidebar shows stock value, what is at zero or below minimum, expiring lots, open purchase orders and weekly activity, each with a CSV download. It is built from our once-a-day check, not live. Values show to the owner and admins unless the owner shares them.

Daily stock alerts by email#

Switch on a once-a-day email listing products below the minimum you set in OpenBoxes and lots close to expiring. Only products with a minimum set are checked for being low. Nothing is sent on a day with nothing to report. Included on Shared and Dedicated, with nothing to buy.

Post a message to a Slack channel when a product with a minimum set runs out at a location, and one more when stock comes back. Stock-outs only; below-minimum and nearing-expiry stay in the email. Messages come from the same daily check, not in real time.

Stock-out incidents in PagerDuty#

Open an incident on your PagerDuty service when a product with a minimum set runs out at a location. It closes when the next daily check sees stock again. Stock-outs only; below-minimum and nearing-expiry stay in the email. Severity is always warning.

A scheduled CSV export of your report data#

Get a zip of your report data every day, week or month, with a download link emailed to each person on your team who opts in. The owner or an admin sets the schedule. Each export can be downloaded from the portal for 7 days, and it only ever goes to people on your team.

The Reporting API#

Give Power BI, Excel or your own code the Reports page's figures: seven read-only datasets as JSON or CSV, called with an API key and refreshed by the once-a-day check. A key returns quantities only unless the account owner turns on Include values for it.

Stock alerts for people outside your account#

The account owner can send the daily stock alert to up to 5 addresses that are not on the account, such as a supplier. Each address must confirm a 6-digit code before anything is sent. Every email has its own unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is permanent for that address.

Staging copies on Dedicated#

Lease a throwaway copy of your Dedicated instance, with your own data, at its own address, to try a change safely. Days come in 5-day packs at $100, up to 4 packs in one purchase, charged to a card, and days you buy never expire. The copy is not anonymised.

A discount for registered nonprofits#

Registered nonprofits get $25/month off the Shared Tier monthly plan ($300/year off its annual plan) or $100/month off the Dedicated Tier monthly plan ($1,200/year off its annual plan). Email sales to claim it; we verify it by hand. Not combined with the founding-member offer.
